Commuting with your bicycle

Not all of us have vehicles or we just wish to pedal everywhere we go 12 months out of the year. The winter months can be challenging on it’s own, now toss in just 2 wheels for commuting.

You want to make your ride more enjoyable? The sunrises are simply gorgeous!

Dress in layers….Wear a base layer, then a thermal layer – wool or polyester.
On top of that goes a bright outer shell to break the wind and make you stand out in traffic. You’ll need a toque, a helmet, and warm gloves that allow you brake and steer.
The best add on for a bike are fenders.  I can’t tell you how many times they’ve saved me from getting muddy and wet.  I think they are cool looking!
Does snow or ice scare you – Buy studded tires….they most definitely improve traction.
And of course you can’t forget lights – They are a must at night but improve visibility in snow and rain.
