Spring Cycling Ride – Humber River Trail

The Humber River Recreational Trail in Toronto is about a 40 km round trip multi use trail.  This hidden gem right in the city, is a paved / hard crushed gravel trail and is very picturesque, quiet and lots of wildlife.

We started at the Humber Bridge right off Lakeshore Road which has a free parking lot along side the lake.

What makes this trail so inviting – it’s not as busy as the Lakeshore Trail.  Our ride wasn’t interrupted from vehicles or tourists.  On our 3 hour ride, we probably saw a dozen people and dog walkers.

We stopped a few times just to take in the beautiful birds, pretty water and just to relax.

The Humber River Trail is very well marked and maps along the way, so there is no way to get lost.

Bring a lunch, have a picnic.
