This weekend, we hiked part of the Iroquoia Bruce Trail between Felker’s Falls and Upper Centennial Parkway in Hamilton, Ontario.
While we only had an elevation gain of 116m, this was a workout for both shoulders and legs, as the hike up and down the Escarpment was quite dramatic.
When we attempt any hike, especially The Bruce Trail, we bring our hiking poles for added stability and traction – much needed as the trails had slippery rocks, leaves and mud.
Check out my previous post on hiking/trekking poles – Hiking / Trekking Poles – They do have advantages.
Once closer to Upper Centennial Parkway, the trail travelled underneath the bridge alongside train tracks.
The next section of The Bruce Trail we plan to hike is to park at Battlefield House Museum and hike towards Devil’s Punchbowl.
Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and follow our experiences.
Happy adventuring! #getoutside #getoutdoors ♥
