Felker’s Falls – A Hidden Gem

Hamilton, Ontario, Canada is know as the Waterfall Capital of the World that boast over 100 waterfalls.

We hike many areas in and around the Niagara Escarpment, then when we came across this hidden gem of a waterfall – we had to share!

As noted in Tourism Hamilton’s website:

This hidden gem is nestled in the Felker’s Falls Conservation Area in the city’s eastern neighbourhood of Stoney Creek. Felker’s Falls flows over the edge of the Niagara Escarpment revealing a tall and impressive ribbon waterfall as well as significant geological rock formations in the bedrock gorge. It’s also close to other nearby waterfalls worth exploring.

There is a free parking lot close by with many spots.

  1. What is your experience hiking these trails/waterfalls in the winter? We missed the boat on these during the warmer months, but I continue to be drawn to them, so I’m considering hiking them this winter.

    1. The waterfalls are very pretty to see in the winter – especially Tiffany Falls. The trails can be slippery and/or icy so a set of hiking poles or even crampons is best to use. Happy Adventuring!
